@Alex - Thanks for providing some great information. I in fact wrote about the new suite that exists above The Pirates of Carribean on my personal blog before we launched this site.

While i have not heard of anyone being able to stay in the Apt above the Fire Station, there is at least one tour that goes through it. I know that many of Walt's items are still there including a toaster which i believed he used to make grilled cheese, if i remember correctly.

There is also another bit of info some are not aware of. Do you know the Disney Art Gallery above pirates of the Caribbean? Originally this was going to be a large condo for the Disney family, but Walt's death before it was completed put a stop to that, and it went on to become the Art gallery. Pirates of the Caribbean was the last ride Disney worked on and he died right before it opened.

Now as part of the Year of a Million Dreams (or many many years of millions of dreams, depends on your perspective i guess) They have permanently closed the art gallery :( and restored that area to what was originally planned (condo) using original blueprints and artist renderings. What they now have is "The Dream Suite" which they give away one night stays to random guests in the park.

I don't know though if you can buy a night, maybe if you were to pay the right person?

Good question, David Schmalz. I have not heard of such an option, only that select people have been able to tour it.

Maybe someone else would have knowledge of this and drop by to comment.

Question: I read somewhere that, at one time, guests to the park could purchase a one-night stay in the apartment (Walts' apt) over the fire station at the main entrance to Disneyland. Are you aware of any such practice ever taking place?
Thanks
