Cars Land Summer 2012 Opening Date Confirmed

Disney spokesman John McClintock has confirmed that Cars Land, will open at Disney’s California Adventure in Summer 2012. The exact date will of course depends of all the ride tests that WDI will do on each Cars Land attractions.

Additionally, The Orange County Register created a neat graphic which details what’s in store for the 12-acre addition to Disney’s California Adventure.

Silly Symphony Swings Debuts at Disney’s California Adventure

With an official opening date of June 11th, the newly re-themed Silly Symphony Swings began “soft opening” runs last Friday morning. What was formerly known as the “Orange Stinger” has been re-themed to the 1935 Mickey Mouse short feature “The Band Concert,” with the music of Rossini’s “William Tell Overture.”

No Way To Hide Construction at Disney California Adventure

Disney typically does a pretty good job hiding construction and refurbishment projects. Sure the construction walls are not always the most welcoming aesthetic when visiting a Disney park but when they even go so far as to “theme” the walls, it makes for a much more pleasant experience. That can not be said for the current flurry of construction projects going on at Disney’s California Adventure.
