National Thanksgiving Turkey Heading To Disneyland

Following today’s Presidential pardon ceremony of the National Thanksgiving Turkey in the White House Rose Garden, “Pumpkin” and his alternate “Pecan” are heading to Disneyland. It all begins with a police escort to Dulles International Airport. Then the birds will “fly” First-Class on United Airlines Flight Turkey-1 to their new home at Disneyland Resort.

Sleeping Beauty Walk-Through Diorama: Sneek Preview

Disney’s Imagineering team has been hard at work refurbishing the Sleeping Beauty Walk-Through Diorama located in Sleeping Beauty’s Castle. Their work is now finished just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday. The Diorama is scheduled to re-open tomorrow (Wednesday) at 5pm, just in time to kick off the Thanksgiving holiday.

Tokyo Disney Resort Continues 25th Anniversary Celebration

Hard to imagine that Tokyo Disney Resort® has been around for 25 years but it has. And to celebrate, the resort is currently commemorating its 25th anniversary with a five-stage, year-long celebration entitled Unlock Your Dreams. Both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea began the fourth stage of celebrations on November 7.

Cedar Fair’s Expansion Plans for 2009

Cedar Fair, the company that owns and operates some of the greatest amusement parks in the world including Knotts Berry Farm and the roller coaster capital of the world, Cedar Point, has announced $62 million in new attractions, roller coasters and family rides to debut in 2009.

Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion Track Layout

I was able to visit The Haunted Mansion at Disneyland in Anaheim three times last Thursday and Friday, enjoying the Nightmare before Christmas holiday overlay that Disney Imagineers install every year from October to just after the New year. Every time I visit what has become one of my favorite Disneyland attractions, I secretly wish I could just walk through the mansion after the park closes, so I can take my time looking at every detail.
