Disney Online Honors Pixie Hollow Fairy House Design Contest Winner

In February, Disney Fairies Pixie Hollow invited artists everywhere to create their own Fairy house design in which the director of the upcoming movie “Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue” would choose a winner.

That winner has been selected and it is none other than 15-year-old Zoe P., from Frazier Park, California. She and her family were honored on April 3 in a special ceremony atHollow Garden in Walt Disney World.

Disney Unveils “Premier Passport” Which Provides Access To All U.S. Parks

If you have been waiting for an annual passport that would allow access to both Disney theme parks in the United States, wait no longer. Disney now offers a new premium annual pass for admission to the parks at both Disneyland Resort and the Walt Disney World Resort called “Disney Premier Passport.” It’ll feature the same benefits offered with the “premium” annual passes for Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts.

D23 Celebrates Disneyland’s 55th Anniversary With All-New Two-Day Destination D Event

Bob Iger recently announced at the Walt Disney Company shareholder’s meeting that the D23 Expo will return in 2011, but to add to the excitement for D23 members this year, the official Disney fan club is introducing a brand-new event called “Destination D” which will be held this September in Anaheim, illuminating Disney’s fascinating and rich history.

Walt Disney World Announces “Summer Nightastic!”

Walt Disney World has announced plans for Summer Nightastic!, a series of events that begin in early June 2010 and run through the summer season. Summer Nightastic! will include the return of the Main Street Electrical Parade, a huge daily firework show (a renamed ‘Magic, Music and Mayhem’) at the Magic Kingdom, and a new drop profile and effects for the Tower of Terror.

Pixie Hollow Online Announces Fairy House Art Contest

Attention all you artists – time to darn your artistic skills for a new contest held by Disney Fairies Pixie Hollow. The site is seeking artistic players to create their own Fairy house design between now and February 22, 2010.

The director of the upcoming movie “Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue ” will choose a winner who will receive a vacation for four to the Walt Disney World® Resort in Florida. Their creation will also be featured at the Epcot® International Flower & Garden Festival.

DisneyFan Club “D23” Announce 2010 Special Events

D23, the official Disney fan club that was formed just last year, has put together a fantastic list of events for 2010. Included in the list is a free “50 and Fabulous” screening series featuring classic Disney movies, D23 one-year anniversary events at Disneyland and Walt Disney World, and a special celebration marking the 40th anniversary of the Walt Disney Archives.

December Events at the Walt Disney Family Museum

The Walt Disney Family Museum announces its schedule of events for the month of December, highlighting the premiere of Christmas with Walt Disney, a special holiday film showcasing Walt Disney’s Christmases past. Additional events include a concert by the String Circle Quarter and a candlelit Christmas program with the Artists’ Vocal Ensemble.

Volunteer For a Day, Get Free Admission To a Disney Park

The Walt Disney Company revealed a new program today on Good Morning America that allows individuals to volunteer one day of service to a participating organization in exchange for one day of free admission to a Disney Park. It’s a first-of-its-kind program Disney is calling “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day.”

The free one-day admission ticket will be made available to as many as 1 million people who volunteer through HandsOn Network, a giant volunteer organization and will be honored at one of Disney’s Anaheim and Florida parks.

Fall Events Announced For D23 Members

Disney’s official community for Disney fans – D23, has announced a lineup of special events for Fall 2009 which include the first viewing of “The Princess and the Frog,” the opportunity to go behind the scenes of the amazing productions of The Lion King and Mary Poppins and back by popular demand, the legendary lot at The Walt Disney Studios and Walt Disney Archives will be open for guided tours.
