Although there have been rumors that the Twilight Zone themed Tower of Terror in California Adventure would undergo a re-theming, many of us die-hard fans of the attraction were hoping that it was simply not true. But, alas, it is. The attraction will be re-themed to a Guardians of the Galaxy story-line.
Unique to Disneyland, is the famous Matterhorn Bobsleds, a roller coaster inside a mountain that made its debut in 1959 at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. It is the first tubular steel continuous track roller coaster ever constructed and is composed of two intertwining steel roller coasters. The Matterhorn has undergone many changes throughout the years but continues to be a favorite of park guests.

Disney’s five year, 1 billion dollar expansion of its California Adventure theme park is near complete. June 15 is the date that two highly anticipated themed lands, Cars Land and Buena Vista Street, will open completing one of the largest expansions in history.
For the first time in 10 years, Disneyland has opened membership to its exclusive Club 33, the secretive, members-only restaurant hidden in New Orleans Square. Members will also be able to relax in a new private pad at Disney’s California Adventure: 1901, named for the year Walt Disney was born.
Disney Imagineers are working hard to put all the finishing touches on the new Cars land that is scheduled to open on June 15th this summer. Some of those finishing touches include classic neon signs. Disney has re-created the Radiator Springs seen in Cars and Cars2 including many of its iconic buildings as well as neon signs.
The much anticipated grand opening of Cars Land, Buena Vista Street and the Carthay Circle Theatre at Disney California Adventure has been announced for June 15th. These new additions will serve as a capstone in the five year billion dollar expansion that is designed to revive the struggling park.

I came across this great Infographic depicting many of the memorable events that have transpired since the 1955 opening of the original Disneyland Park in Anaheim. If you recall (or have heard), that day, which was “invite only,” did not arrive without its many issues – uninvited guests jumping the fence to get in, attractions breaking down, restaurants running out of food, ladies high heels sinking in the newly poured asphalt on main Street and the list goes on.
