Have you been anxiously waiting for the much anticipated Disney streaming service to go live? Well, you won’t have to wait much longer. November 12th is when it is to make it’s debut. Following is the official press release regarding the upcoming Disney+ streaming service.
During the recent D23 Expo held in Anaheim, California, Disney Parks, Experiences and Consumer Products Chairman Bob Chapek shared more of the ways Epcot will stay true to its original vision while bringing timeless Disney storytelling to life with the magic of possibility. The park will be unified with four neighborhoods that each celebrate a unique aspect of what makes Epcot so special.
New details have been released at the D23 Expo regarding the new Marvel-themed land that is being developed on what was formerly “A Bug’s Land.” This includes information on two new attractions, one featuring Spider-Man and the other The Avengers. Once complete, the land will include the “Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout!” which was formerly “The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror” but re-themed in 2017 to feature a Guardians of the Galaxy stor
The Walt Disney Company was already a behemoth of a company. Now with the recent acquisition of 21st Century Fox and all of its assets, Disney is just that much larger! Disney spokesman John McClintock has confirmed that Cars Land, will open at Disney’s California Adventure in Summer 2012. The exact date will of course depends of all the ride tests that WDI will do on each Cars Land attractions.

Wally Boag, who played Pecos Bill in nearly 40,000 live performances of the Golden Horseshoe Revue at Disneyland, passed away Friday at the age of 91. Boag, a Disney legend, originated the role for Walt Disney in the stage show that is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records. He was also the voice of Jose in The Enchanted Tiki Room at the theme park.

State Farm has joined with Disney/Pixar’s Cars 2 movie for a fun commercial that features characters from the film. As part of this partnership the insurance giant is hosting a 30 city tour featuring life-size vehicles from Cars 2 with prizes as well including a new Cadillac SRX.

The Disney/Pixar animated movie “Cars” introduced some iconic characters – Lightning McQueen, Doc Hudson, Sally Carrera and of course the lovable Mater. The sequel to the ever popular Cars animated movie will bring back some of our favorites including Lighting McQueen and Mater as they head overseas to compete in the first-ever World Grand Prix. Cars 2 will introduce several new characters as well.
The Haunted Mansion in Walt Disney World Florida is getting some new technology. A new exterior “Next Generation” queue is in the works and the end of the attraction itself has received a bit of a makeover. Both additions will add some interactivity to the famous attraction.
Following the rave reviews of Destination D: Disneyland ’55, D23 has announced Destination D: Walt Disney World 40th Anniversary, to be held on May 14 and May 15, 2011. The event will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Orlando resort, its history and heritage. The event will take D23 Members on a journey from the moment when the first parcels of land in Central Florida were purchased in 1964 through the opening of EPCOT Center in 1982 and beyond.
The 83rd Academy Awards are set to take place 30 days from now and Disney has a pretty good chance on taking home at least one if not more Oscars.They received a total of twelve nominations that cover 6 films including Toy Story 3, Alice in Wonderland and TRON: Legacy to name a few.
